This Privacy Policy describes how TripTalk ("the App"), published by Michael Oehlrich ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS application.
No personal information is collected. When you browse as a guest, all data (bookmarks, reviews, settings) is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or usage analytics in guest mode.
When you create an account, we collect:

When you tap a crisis resource link (988 Lifeline, Fireside Project), an anonymous counter is incremented. No user ID, device ID, or personal information is associated with this data.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.
Access: All data you create is visible to you within the app.
Delete: You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This permanently and immediately removes your profile, all reviews, trip reports, bookmarks, votes, and reports.
Guest mode: You can use TripTalk without an account. No data is collected or transmitted in guest mode.
TripTalk is rated 17+ on the App Store and implements an additional 21+ age verification gate. The App is not intended for anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at support@triptalk.guide.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, delete your account in-app or contact us.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data. Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (account creation) and legitimate interest (service operation). To exercise your rights, use the in-app deletion feature or contact us.
If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
